Why follow: I never got to take his classes when I was at NYU because I wasn't in the business school. During the pandemic, I was finally able to take a bunch of his courses online (for free) - gold mine. Saved me from seriously pursuing a career change as an equity research analyst.

About: Brilliant man and prolific generator of content. The non-levantine, non Tony Soprano version of Nassim Taleb.
Why follow: He’ll teach you that when it comes to luck and skill, a career can even be launched by a trash can.
Downtown ‘Josh’ Brown
About: 1/3 consiglieri, 1/3 wealth advisor, 1/3 stand-up comedian. Josh and his crew are rewriting the rules in the RIA space along with Barry Ritholtz.
Why follow: Many years ago, his common sense answer on a CNBC show—shockingly rare—was so refreshing that I started following him. His content is a great way to stay up to date on what’s happening on the markets while having a good time in the process.

About: Most celebrated personal finance writer of our times. His books are everything the genre of books like ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ wish they were.
Why follow: His lessons remind me of Orwell’s quote “The best books are those that tell you what you already know” - but naturally we can’t put into words ourselves.
